In case you may (or may not) have noticed I have been gone for a week or so. Whether you care or not isn't my buisness but I'm just posting this so if I stopped posting in a thread suddenly or whatever it's to tell you it's not personal, I just had a.... "vacation" if I use the term lightly.
What happened was I was supposed to be going on a cruise. Unfortunetly even though we got to the airport an hour early for some reason we had the slowest people in the world help us and we missed our flight to long beach. So instead we were going on a later flight to Anaheim airport. We checked our bags onto the Anaheim flight and went to go sit at our gate. One of the airport managers talked to us about our flight saying the plane had no pilot and we had a better chance going on a burbank flight. While we had a concern that our bags were on the Anaheim flight he said "I personaly garuntee that I will go down there and get your bags off the flight and onto your Burbank flight." So instead we took the Burbank flight since we had a manager helping us.
When we arrived in Burbank we had just enough time to get to the boat, but guess what, our bags wern't on that f*cking plane! So now our bags are lost and the people took an hour to figue out where the bags where. So now instead of going on our $3,000 cruise we're driving around California to get our damn bags which we were supposed to have already. It took us 3 hours to drive to find the bags and get to a hotel to stay in. The boat was long gone now so our morale was really low.
The next day we decided to fly to Cabo San Lucas to catch the boat when it makes it there. Of course when we get to the airport they have trouble with our passports and it takes forever to get on the plane. Once we touch down in Mexico the airport is in the middle of the desert so we need to take like a two hour cab to any civilization. So while looking for a cab people keep trying to sell us time shares, and if anyone has been offered time shares, you know how tough it is for them to accept "no." Once we make it to our hotel the bed was as hard as plywood. Walking out to go get some food for dinner we talk with this nice waiter about our little "adventure" so far. He was so nice he said he'd get us free jetskis to ease the pain, but guess what... the free jetskis came with a sign up to go look at time shares! We later find out that practicaly everyone in mexico works with time share companies trying to constantly get tourists to buy timeshares. The next day my parents just walked out of that damn time share presentation and we went straight for the boat.
Finally after missing 2 days of the cruise, when we do the math that's about 857$ of wasted money since we wern't on the boat. Plus it cost us about $1000 dollars to do the whole mexico side trip to catch the boat so none of us are happy really. The first day on the boat was just a relax and get the steam off day,
Day two came about and I tried getting to know some people, but of course that presented more problems. Everyone my age on the boat was a bunch of spoiled holister wearing brats. All they talked about was how much money their parents had and how they smoked pot all day and huffed aerosol. Sure I would have just enjoyed other activities but no, the boat wouldn't let me go into other places since I wasn't 18 so most of the time I had to either be with them or my parents. While my parents wern't so bad usually my mom was on her period and decided to pick fights with me at every chance she got. We were planning to do things as a family on the boat but we spent so much money just trying to catch the boat we couldn't.
So for the next week we spent time lazying around or fighting with eachother. We thought the worst was behind us but they wanted to kick our asses one last time. As we were about to leave the boat they wouldn't let us off because they said we wern't american citizens and needed to go through immigration customs. At this point I, personaly, snapped and yelled at the guy working the gate. We did go through customs but I wasn't about to miss the plane home so I cut everyone on the way out and forced my way off that damn ship. Luckily we did make it on the plane only to listen to all the people around us talk about how much "fun" they had. Sadly what I wanted, was a vacation, from that vacation.
